i had an interesting day yesterday.  ended up in the emergency room. so, monday my tooth hurt, i took some advil & it went away.  i got home & it started hurting again, worse & worse & worse until i was crying.  took some more advil & went to bed.  got tuesday morning & it hurt SO bad and... it didn't stop hurting.  i took more advil... nothing.  took some aleve.. nothing.  i couldn't stop crying cuz it hurt so bad.  my whole jaw & face hurt.  J woke up & i was crying, not knowing what to do about the pain (especially since my insurance hasn't started yet).  he says "get up, we're going to urgent care or emergency".  we tried one urgent care but the "urgent care" part didn't start until 5pm & they had no doctor's appts open.  so we ended up at the hospital.  it is a sinus infection, they gave me penicillin & some pretty groovy pain drugs. they gave me 2 of the pain pills at the hospital & by the time we got home, i was feeling SUPER loopy.   the hospital gave me a note to miss work yesterday & today. so i'm at home bored, feeling residual loopiness from a pill i took a couple hours ago. the one thing i'm left thinking about is how the words "sinus infection" don't really seem to express the amount of pain i was in. i think it should be something more like "knives in my jaw".
